Self-taught painter, I mostly find inspiration from landscape pictures taken during my travels, but also from any pictures that I am offered.
Born in Picardie, France, I started drawing when I was young, using graphite pencils or colored pencils: animals, flowers and above all landscapes. When I was a student, I attended evening courses in the Beaux-Arts school of Orleans during two years.
Like many artists, I have always been attracted by the light, color and atmosphere of impressionist paintings. My story with watercolor painting began more than 25 years ago when I received a watercolour gift set. My universe then changed because watercolor painting constantly create different atmospheres, with colors or textures allowed only by this painting.
Since my first exhibition in 1996, I have always tried to tame it by continuing to explore its immense possibilities using a reduced number of colors.
For a long time watercolor painting was only a passion, I’m now devoting all my time to it.
